Specialized strategy for trading prior-day and current-day opening range breakouts. Perfect for capturing morning momentum during peak trading hours.
Key Features
Touch Detection Logic
Detects when price touches prior day high from above or low from below - ensuring directional entry bias.
Opposite Close Requirement
After touch detection, waits for next candle to close outside the range in expected direction for entry.
Prior Day Range Trading
Uses previous day's high/low range (9AM-12PM default) or current day range for trade setups.
Smart Direction Control
Long entries only from touches above range, short entries only from touches below - prevents false signals.
R-Multiple Targets
Dynamic position sizing with configurable R-multiple take profits (default 2R) and fixed tick stops.
Extended Range Display
Visual range lines extend through current day with automatic daily recalculation at midnight.
